Darrell Stanton is in the running for this year’s X Games Real Street video contest. Check out his footage HERE and throw a few votes his way! Once you see his nollie backside 180 over the rail and into the bank, at one of the harshest spots around, you’ll have no choice.
On International Go Skateboarding Day, the winners of the MAKE IT COUNT contest series were treated to a sesh at The Berrics. Also in attendance were Chad Tim Tim, Darrell Stanton, Mark Appleyard, Nyjah Huston and Nick Garcia. The level of skateboarding that went down is mind-blowing, especially when you consider the schedule of the winners’ previous week. If they weren’t in a plane or van, they were skating a contest, shredding a park or hiking a mountain.
Congratulations and thanks to all of the winners. Extra special thanks and congratulations to Julian Christianson. His blend of ability and humility are an inspiration.
Julian Christianson was the overall winner of the 2011 MAKE IT COUNT Contest Series, which took place at the Element YMCA Skate Camp in Sequoia, Ca.
1st Place – Julian Christianson

Nyjah Huston has done it again, taking first place at the Kansas City stop on the 2011 Street League contest circuit. Nyjah, Chris Cole, Chaz Ortiz and Sean Malto were all virtually tied with one trick left, and with a massive Nollie Inward Heelflip Nyjah secured first place and a cool $150,000. He also ripped the best trick contest following the event.
After just two events Nyjah’s earnings total at $325,000 including best trick bonuses. The next stop is in Glendale, AZ July 16-17, 2011 and a final event in Newark, NJ on August 28th.
Recently, Chad Tim Tim took a field trip to the International Bird Rescue to personally drop off the new Element “Oil Spill” board series, which raises money for the Bird Rescue. Since 1971, this organization has been dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of oiled and injured aquatic birds. Proceeds from this board and t-shirt series benefit the International Bird Rescue.
We got a personal tour of their San Pedro facility and saw how the birds and other animals are cleaned, cared for, and readied for release back into their natural habitat.
Above is a video from the trip.
